About myself

"Already as a child I was fascinated by the quiet magic of Pan Tau; the idea of the phantastic behind the facade of the ordinary. I want to open a door for my audience to a crazy world, a world upside down, absurd, bizarre, full of colourful comicality."

Inspired by street theatre Oliver Hosp (born 1967 in Munich, Germany) began his career as an artist.
He studied mime with Andy Geer, and in 1993/4 he developed his technique in London at the Ecole Philippe Gaullier (theatre) and the Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theatre. Here he also performed for the first time as a street artist.
In 1995 he extended his repertoire at the Schule für Clown, Komik und Theater (Hannover).
Since 1998 he has been inspired by collaborating with Fanki Anderson (Fool's Theatre, Bristol).
Many ideas from his street theatre performance influence his play and enrich his show programme.
